I visited SoCal recently and ate beef.
Currently, BSE issue is causing issues in importing beef from US to Japan. Recently, Japan is realy strict at food quality ever since some domestic problems causing some hold back in Japanese consumers to buy various food.
Anyways, this dude in one of Japan’s TV show made a good point. It will solve so much of a hassle if Japanese just open up a beef exporting company in USA, and follow strict beef quality check standards. That will set some new standards and competition among other beef companies as well.
Should I eat more beef when I go back? I’m not sure yet… Based on what I see coming out of Beef farms are not looking good to me. Perhaps buying beef from a reliable source would probably be a better decision making process for now.
