I went to one of the AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization)’s practice. My little cousin’s team resides in San Bernardino area. I was in the organization for about a year when I was young, but this soccer program is organized pretty well.
I guess the league is created based on the region you live in. Almost all of the coach, and the refs are volunteers. A lot of parents participate in helping out as well.
When AYSO starts, a lot the parks in California are filled with soccer kids.
After travelling many places, I felt that a lot of these kids are fortunate to have a lot of parks with grass.
I also noticed a lot of kids with physical disability playing. I thought it was nice that such organization gives equal opportunites to youngsters.
